Sacramento, California ... January 10, 2006... New Generation Software, Inc. (NGS), a long-time, respected developer of proven software for the IBM iSeries®, announced the release of Express Solution for System 2000 for users of Vormittag Associates’ (VAI) System 2000 distribution and manufacturing applications. NGS’ Express Solution for System 2000 is a real-time reporting and analysis solution that includes the NGS-IQ™ suite of ad hoc query, report writing, and OLAP applications, plus a comprehensive collection of ready-to-run reports and sample business performance dashboards that are built directly over the System 2000 production database.
The reports and dashboards include Sales Forecasting Dashboard with “What-If” Scenario Support; Customers by State Dashboard; Customer Group by Product; Gross Revenue Growth Trend; Sales by Customer Class; Customer Items by Territory; Inventory Detail Inquiry; Order Detail Inquiry; and Sales Detail Inquiry. The real-time reports deliver results in popular applications such as Microsoft Excel® and Access®, Acrobat® PDF, drillable HTML, plus multi-dimensional and graphical presentations using NGS’ SmartView™ OLAP module. Users only need their Web Browser and the royalty-free Macromedia files to view the sample Business Performance Dashboards.
NGS also provides two other packaged solutions for VAI System 2000 users:
- The Business Performance Solution for System 2000 includes everything in the Express Solution, along with the ability to customize and create new business performance dashboards.
- The Enterprise Solution for System 2000 includes all the products in the Business Performance Solution, plus NGS’ IQ SeQure security management system and Decision Assist, a pre-defined data warehouse on the IBM iSeries ® and business analytic starter kit with more than 60 ready-to-run reports.
