The class will be taught lecture-style. We recommend that attendees have a basic knowledge of IQ Server (Interactive Query), since we'll be covering more advanced functions of the product.
Functions and features to be covered include the following:
1. |
Conditional Calculations

- Learn when and how to use the special conditional fields like PREV, *SKIP and *COUNT.
|
2. |
Running Queries on the Web *NEW
|
3. |
Web Links in Report Breaks *NEW
- In the queries that run in the browser, you can build links into the report breaks that will run other queries for more detail. You can even pass variables you need from the first query.

We'll show you an easy way to decide.

Exit Programs

|
7. |
400 Query API *NEW

Day Two Class Description |
IQ Client Training Class: In this hands-on lab led by an NGS-IQ specialist, you'll create queries in a 100% PC environment. You’ll see much more of the options at a glance – no F10 required! You will also learn how to use the new HTML editor to make reports really shine when you run them from a Web browser. See how much faster you can build a query using IQ Client.
Mastering Qport Access and SmartView Workshop: The step-by-step exercises in the Workshop will help you quickly deploy the NGS-IQ desktop modules and streamline your query and reporting process. Taught lecture-style, the Workshop focuses on the features and capabilities of Qport Access and SmartView OLAP, plus Windows’ functions such as creating desktop icons, scheduling IQ queries to run from your desktop, and more. Other lessons include output from IQ Server (IQ Client, Qport Builder) to PDF, HTML, XML, and e-mail distribution. Click here for a detailed description of the exercises that will be covered.
