Qport Office is for companies that still rely on IBM Query/400. It allows authorized users to run Query/400 queries from the Windows desktop and output data directly to Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access. You can also display your output on the built-in Windows display and print your results to your local PC printer. You do not need to revise your Query/400 queries; they run normally, but you initiate them from an easy-to-use, graphical Windows interface instead of a green screen menu.

Qport Office gives you run-only access to your existing IBM Query/400 queries from your Windows desktop. You get additional functions without having to replace Query/400—you can continue to use Query/400 to create and revise your queries. Qport Office lets you run Query/400 queries from your Windows desktop, shortcut, or hyperlink. You enter the query name and where you want to send the output, save your instructions as an executable file, and point to that file from your shortcut or hyperlink.
